Why have your website submitted to directories and Search Engines?

	Most importantly is that search engines and directories don't automatically add your website once your site is online, your website must be submitted to them
	Each time your website is accepted, a backlink to your website from the directories is created on their website. Backlinks are like votes for your website.
	These "votes" are a very important part of how important search engines see your website, i.e. how far up on the search results your website displays
